Associate Director – Archdiocesan Youth Employment Services (AYES)

Responsibilities

Act as primary assistant to the Director in all matters relating to program management, including development and comprehensive youth services.  Assist Director with planning, organizing and budgeting for all Archdiocesan Youth Employment Services contracts and programs.  Prepares and reviews contract documents for government sponsors and sub-contractors to ensure accuracy and completeness.  Review and prepares management and operational reports, conducts special studies and preparation of grants application and proposals.  Represents Director at designated Workforce Investment Board, Employer Advisory Board and other community meetings.  Interfaces with government sponsor auditors and confers with Director regarding any irregularities or deficiencies.  Reviews case management records, interview clients and processes support services requests to ensure qualitative delivery services.  Assist Director with private sector employer marketing and private resources development.  Supervise development of website content and coordinate LAN technology services with AYE and its collaborative partners.  

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in business or public administration or related field.  Requires ability to perform duties and a minimum of four years of experience in administration or management is preferred.  Prior managerial responsibilities dealing with supervision of program staff, governmental and private funding sources.  Proficient computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs and resources.

Child Care Site Supervisor Adeste - After-school Program Our Lady of the Angels Region - Western Area

Responsibilities

Directs child care program activities at one site. Supervises, assigns, plans, and schedules work for the site staff. Instructs others in methods and procedures. Ensures program goals and objectives are met. Personally responsible for general supervision and management of up to 14 children in accordance with community care licensing regulations. Develops, schedules, and implements programs. Coordinates participant's recruitment and registration. Secures program supplies and equipment. Provides safe environment for participants and staff. Schedules outings and special events and plans and organizes special projects. Prepares tuition receipts on a monthly basis. Provides Regional Coordinator with monthly reports. Ensures all community care licensing guidelines are met, and information is complete and updated.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED. Must be 18 years or older.  Minimum of 15 ECE semester/quarter equivalent units, including three units in Administration & Supervision and four years of experience working with children in a licensed or comparable center. Current 15-hour infant, child and adulta CPR and First Aid Certificates.

Child Care Teacher Adeste - After School Program - San Fernando Region

Responsibilities

The Child Care Teacher will instruct children in activities designed to promote social, physical and intellectual growth.  Child Care Teacher will assist the site supervisor with development and delivery of the child care curriculum.  Teacher is responsible for the general supervision and management of up to 14 children. Plans, supervisors, and implements program curriculum for the site. Structures program to the needs of children with concern for their interests, special talents, and individual style. Ensures the safety and health of students. Responsible for the cleaniness and safety of the classroom. Supervises assigned Child Care Teacher's Aide.  Assists site supervisor in the preparation and service of snacks.  Maintains effective communications with parents.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED. Must be 18 years or older. Twelve ECE semester/quarter equivalent units and six months of experience working with children in a licensed or comparable center.  Current infant, child and adult CPR certificate AND Child Development Associate Teacher Permit a MUST.

Client Services Regional Coordinator-Our Lady of the Angels Region

Responsibilities

Coordinates Catholic Charities’ client services, financial and environmental assistance program within a region.  Supervises, directs, trains, assigns, and evaluates work of assigned personnel and volunteers.  Decides how to allocate funds used to provide financial assistance to clients in need of emergency food, shelter, clothing, rental assistance, transportation, medical and special needs.  Assists Regional Director  to plan and implement new methods of service delivery consistent with the Agency’s mission statement.  Provides direct case management services to clients.  Provides information, referrals and advocacy for clients whose needs are not met here.  Administers and organizes various programs.  Coordinates services and functions between satellite offices.  Prepare monthly financial reports, FEMA reports, and department memos.  Monitors daily expenditures for financial assistance.  Reviews and approves department’s financial transactions.  Provides consultation to staff and other Agency or community representatives.  Helps plan and implement staff development programs to improve the quality and effectiveness of services.  Maintains, promotes, and develops office procedures.

Group Worker - Angel's Flight, Our Lady of the Angels Region - Metro Area

Responsibilities

Performs outreach services and crisis intervention in a shelter and/or community services setting. Provides crisis intervention counseling and outreach services. Participates in outreach to meet with and counsel youths on the street, including putting up flyers to attract clients.  Provide a safe environment for participants and staff. Instructs and trains volunteers in methods and procedures. Completes intake procedure and maintains client records and activity reports.  Determines the best possible shelter alternatives for runaway and homeless youth. Find appropriate shelter and/or professional counseling for clients. Meets clients' immediate physical needs such as food and clothing.  Transports and suerpvises clients.  Displays sensitivity to the client population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics. Answers phone calls and give phone counseling when necessary.

Qualifications

Completion of two year's college. Six to twelve months of related experience.

Manager of Grants, Contracts & Development Projects - Corporate Resource Development Department

Responsibilities

Program Coordinator (Information and Records)-Archdiocesan Youth Employment Services (AYES)

Responsibilities

Supervises daily operations, including administration and information and records services relating to program services. Responsible for interface with program monitors to ensure quality control and client information database. Under supervision of the Manager - Information and Records, coordinates staff and processes associated with client intake, eligibility, outcome reporting, payroll, data entry, and records mainenance. Maintains comprehensive databases, including data capture, information analysis, and report generation.

Qualifications

Computer proficiency, detail oriented, analytical aptitude, and a minimum of four years of relevant work experience, with previous supervisory responsibility, required. Four-year college degree and workflow coordination experience in an intensive, service-oriented environment are preferred.

Program Supervisor - Archdiocesan Youth Employment Services (AYES)

Responsibilities

Responsible for coordinating and supervising delivery of educational, employment and career development services for youth. Develop curricula and instructional materials for general education and Basic Skills Training.  Supervise recruitment, selection, enrollment and assignment of clients in designated geographic areas.  Develop employer training sites for clients with public, non-profit and private organizations that can provide a well structured work environment, proper supervision and offer regular full or part-time employment upon completion of training.  Reviews counseling and case management records maintained by staff, including services provided to and progress of clients.  Ensure compliance with funders and local government requirements.  Supervises and evaluates staff to ensure program standards are met.  Provide staff development to comply with Agency requirements and guidelines.  

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field.  Three to five years of related experience with supervisory experience preferred in education, community services or job training field. Must be resourceful, have strong verbal and written skills, the ability to manage multiple projects and possess excellent computer skills.

Quality Improvement Specialist - Central Intake Unit (CIU)

Responsibilities

The CIU Quality Improvement Specialist will assist the CIU Program Director in developing, monitoring, and providing training to staff to ensure the continuous Quality Improvement policy and procedure is appropriately maintained.
