Alleviate Hunger

Hunger has no boundaries. It affects all groups of people regardless of education level, employment status or ethnicity. It affects every community, and exists everywhere in the country. Los Angeles County leads California in the counties with the highest number of food-insecure individuals (1.4 million) and food-insecure children (563,100), according to Feeding America Hunger and Poverty Statistics.

Often, many people who work, even families with two incomes, cannot make ends meet or put enough nutritious food on the table.

Catholic Charities provides food services consisting of bags of groceries, sack lunches, prepared meals, and food distribution to low-income, food-insecure individuals and families through our food pantries and food distribution sites at the community centers and shelters.

Help us fight hunger. Get involved. Make a difference!
